I don’t have much of a problem with sugary, chocolately goodies. Yeah, I’ve eaten my fair share of cookies and ice cream; but it is salty, crunchy bad stuff that calls out to me the most. Yesterday, I was going a wee crazy for something that fit this description. Yet, I’d pledged to not eat anything processed for 30 days. So it seems there will no potato or corn chips in my immediate future. I made these chickpea snacks last night (from the site Fat Girl Trapped in a Skinny Body — because, if I want junk food, I’m gonna hafta make it from scratch.
I left out the olive oil — because Dr. Fuhrman sez; if you’ve got a gut, then you’ve had enough olive oil. I’m paraphrasing, but that’s pretty much his take on it. I also left out the sugar. So I merely added spices and a bare touch of salt and roasted them until they were dry and crunchy. And then I ate every last one of them. Thank you, chickpeas, for keeping me home last night.
Down a pound. Still hungry.
